While our main occupation is to introduce and distribute our carefully crafted textile wallcoverings, we find equal fulfilment in the authentic processes that precede them. For this reason, we want to give you an impression here of what goes on behind the scenes
Step 1: Designing is a case of imagining what is yet to come
We cherish the ideas we have materialised throughout our history. But every year we also develop new variations in which the uniqueness of our craft is linked to moods and inspirations that capture the imagination. Our design processes are undertaken in-house and draw on the generous possibilities of our resources. We explore and discover, letting ourselves be guided by the beauty of what surrounds us. Every design is one of its kind and has its own distinct signature style.
Step 2: Weaving single threads into a captivating surface
Our authentic wallcoverings are woven exclusively in Belgium, performed on wide, shuttleless looms. They guarantee a perfect horizontality of the filling yarns, and we closely monitor their operation. Consequently, our fabric is densely woven with tightly twisted yarns, leading to a heavier weight, a greater density and as such to a superior durability.
Step 3: Laminating the fabric on its backing, for quality and comfort in use
All our products are developed for high-end residential and contract use and fully comply with the most stringent requirements for fire retardancy, durability, lightfastness and cleanability. Therefore, the lamination, too, is done with the utmost care. And it is a real delight to witness how the exquisitely woven material is fixed to the non-woven backing, and how the gorgeous pleats are held in their well-considered positions. Once more we are filled with joy. Because it brings us ever closer to the finalised product that we’ve already devoted so much attention to.
Step 4: Until it's time to say goodbye, at least for us
Beginning with the raw flax fibre and concluding with a ready-to-go roll, it is a fulfilling process that unfolds almost magically and where every crafted article we send out has passed the test of excellence thoroughly. Once our job is done, our products are tailored and delicately packaged with attention to environmental impact. We deliver directly in large runs, or let distribution partners in Belgium and abroad handle your order with care, where individual customers can find them to furnish their dream interiors.
